Situated in a picturesque village on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, a couple of miles outside the market town of Helmsley, this much loved Michelin-starred Inn has origins believed to date back to the 14th Century.
The Star has been consistently voted the favourite Northern restaurant by industry professionals and is much-loved by foodies and locals alike. The ‘modern Yorkshire’ style of cooking places great emphasis on regional and seasonal ingredients and is firmly rooted in North Yorkshire. For full details please visit our website by CLICKING HERE.
From an early age I have had a passion for food and I have been lucky to have cooked in God’s Own County for my entire career. I reached the top of my game running the kitchen of one of the areas’ finest restaurants, achieving Michelin star status in recent years. The AA restaurant guide also recognised the cooking with the coveted 3 rosette accolade!
Deciding to open my own restaurant this year was the natural progression for my career and a challenge that I relish. The Park idea was born, to launch late summer 2013, in my home village of Sutton on the Forest, North Yorkshire. Flavours, textures and aromas along with great value, a relaxed atmosphere and a warm welcome is what I aim for. I hope you will join me for dinner soon! Adam Jackson. At Brew & Brownie we are inspired by the seasons, our countryside upbringing, our urban adulthood, the food we craved as children, to the tastes we developed as we grew. We have spent many hours researching and discovering some of Yorkshire’s best produce, from Raydale Preserves based in the sleepy village of Stalling Busk, Elliot’s free range eggs based in Bewholme to Wilson’s Butchers based in Huntington.
Our coffee is sourced from a fantastic artisan roastery Carvetii Coffee, situated in the Lake District. We care where our food is sourced from and always look for the best quality produce to serve our customers. For full details please visit our website by CLICKING HERE.
Fast food shouldn’t mean bad food. Why can’t it be lovingly prepared from scratch using only fresh, raw ingredients? We believe that the ingredients should come from farmers, not freezers. Recipes should be made by cooks, not scientists. Food should be prepared in kitchens, not factories. And that fast food companies should be helping young people improve their eating habits.
So, we offer a very simple menu, inspired by our mums. Like at home, everything is always prepared on site, from raw ingredients. We pour our heart and – a whole lot of – soul into a very simple menu that’s designed to be full of flavour but still suit every palette. And we serve it in our tiny little shop where friends are made and a love of food shared. For full details please visit our website by CLICKING HERE.
